Adam Sawden brings a unique dual perspective to his role as Staff Governor, having first joined the college as a learner before progressing into teaching. Adam studied A Levels at the college between 2011 and 2013, later returning to complete his Higher Education studies (2016–2019) and his PGCE (2019–2021). This long-standing connection provides him with a deep understanding of the learner experience and the college’s evolving educational landscape.

Now in his sixth year of full-time teaching, Adam works across Sport and Public Services from Level 3 through to Level 6 as a teacher and course leader. His experience as both a student and educator enables him to represent staff viewpoints with insight, authenticity, and a strong appreciation of the college’s core values.

As a local resident, Adam remains closely connected to the community and is committed to ensuring that the college continues to respond to the needs and aspirations of the region it serves. He is passionate about supporting positive change, championing staff voices, and contributing to the ongoing success and development of the college.
