Kurt was awarded the Automotive & Engineering Apprentice of the Year Award at Heart of Yorkshire Education Group's Apprenticeship Awards 2024. Here's what he and his employer had to say about his nomination: “I started off by doing electrical installation Level 1 and 2 at Wakefield College before starting this electrical engineering apprenticeship. I jumped on the chance to do it to learn new things and extend my engineering knowledge further.”

Nathan Oades, Kurt’s Employer, Asset Care & Technical Manager at KP Packaging said: “We are really proud to have Kurt as part of our on-site engineering team here. He is a fantastic addition to the team and we are really proud of him. I believe he will go onto to great things and I hope them great things will be with us at the business. We have put a programme in place around that to allow him to develop and take on new skills and responsibilities within the business.”
