Level 3 Creative Media Production & Technology
Course Overview
This course offers students a great insight into the media industry. You will develop practical skills across a wide range of disciplines including camerawork, editing and screenwriting, industry standard techniques using professional film and editing equipment. You will learn industry standard software such as Adobe Premiere, InDesign and Illustrator, to enable you to develop skills with film editing, animation and print graphics.
Photography and journalism skills are also embedded and you will have use of our state-of-the-art photography studio. You will explore traditional media such as single and multi-camera techniques but also digital developments such as viral marketing and online applications.

In year 2 you will further develop your skills with more emphasis on you as the individual, developing your own ideas and career aspirations. You will get expert advice and guidance from your lecturers and visiting industry specialists. You will also create a showreel and portfolio of work as you move towards the completion of an exciting individual project of your own choosing.
100% coursework. Internally assessed and externally moderated (subject to change).
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English or Maths and a Grade 3 in either English or Maths.
OR
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 including English or Maths and a Level 2 in either English or Maths.
OR
Successful completion of Level 2 at Merit Grade and GCSE English or Maths at Grade 4 and Level 2 English or Maths.
PLUS
Satisfactory interview for all options above.
This course offers progression to a variety of media-related courses. Our own HNC/D Graphic Design, Photography, Film and Television and Fine Art or you may wish to apply to a university. During the course we will explain all the possible options and support you through the application process.. We also offer the BA Hons Top Up course to full degree through Hull University.
We also got the opportunity to go to New York for two-weeks where we saw some of its most famous sights and behind the scenes of some amazing places.
